When, 10 years ago, we followed the rainbow on our motorbike and came across this beautiful house on the lock in Medemblik, we were soon in love and sold. Ronald as a marketer quickly thought of a catering place " chickens at the lock" tables with trestles and a beer tap, nice idea just uncomfortable for me. I thought, can I please live here first? As the years of wonderful living alongside our busy work lives passed, so did the garden parties and we were quite often told what a beautiful place here, why don't you start a B&B. You guys are perfect for it with all that hospitality and you as a couple. Cosy dining, creating an experience that is what we enjoy together. In 2018, it dawned on us that we did want to share this fine place to live with future guests. Près de L'ecluse or "Near the Lock " we found a fitting name for how we feel about this place.
