‘’The cottage‘’ Originally part of a farm, this cottage was the very first settlement built on the Omval in Alkmaar. The Omval was originally a place where boats from the polder were pulled over to enter Alkmaar's waters. The cottage is located in a garden and overlooks a meadow. Besides characteristic elements such as a bed box, this nature cottage also has the comforts of a modern home. Nature and surroundings This cottage is located in green and quiet surroundings on the outskirts of the city of Alkmaar. Known for its Cheese Market and beautiful architecture, Alkmaar is an ideal city for a day out with culture, shops and cosy restaurants. The surroundings of De Omval have a lot to offer: you can easily reach the picturesque artists' village of Bergen(NH) by bike, you can take a brisk walk in the Schoorl Dunes or get a breath of fresh air on the beaches of Bergen or Egmond.
