Het Dijkje Utrecht is a unique and sustainable place in the middle of nature, where you can completely relax and where you are in the heart of Utrecht within 12 (cycling) minutes.
The 2 houses have their own entrance with terrace, are fully equipped and have a magnificent view over the fruit trees. The cottages are inspired by the Castellum which is next door, a beautiful contemporary reconstruction of a Roman fortress full of archaeological treasures. The Castellum can be visited for free and a walk at the adjacent maxima park is definitely recommended.
Moreover, the Dijkje is located right on the Limes route (Roman border), which has recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Het Dijkje is completely energy neutral. There are 23 solar panels on the roof that provide the entire electricity for the dike, such as the air conditioner, dishwasher, refrigerator and induction plate. There is a first floor with a comfortable 2-person box-spring bed.
