Herberg de Boschrand is an atmospheric B&B located directly on . the forest and the beautiful village of Exloo. Located in the middle of the Unesco area of the Hondsrug and surrounded by forests, heathland, dolmens and many picturesque villages with the well-known Drenthe cosiness. Herberg de Boschrand used to be called Herberg Schoapendrift. Although Exloo is still also known for its annual Sheep Shearing Festival and its flock of sheep, the name Herberg de Boschrand was chosen over time.
