Cremers' Pleats Wolkom at ús beautiful place in Opende. Plak is the Frisian word for spot and pleats for farm. There used to be a farm here. Although Opende is on Groningen territory, the people there mainly speak Frisian. Hence the name Cremers' Pleats. We, Zaans and Limburger by birth, hope to meet you here. Besides running the Pleats, we work as nurses in the hospital. Cremers' Pleats is centrally located in the northern provinces and ideally suited as a base for walking, cycling, mountain biking and culture sniffing. Leeuwarden and the city of Groningen can be reached in 35 minutes. And nature reserves such as De Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, the Lauwersmeer area and the Frisian Woods are in the immediate vicinity.
