The B & B is 9 km from the historic town of Dokkum with several dining options and the opportunity to shop. The B & B is 3.2 km from Veenwouden where you can take the train to Leeuwarden (16 km) and Groningen (37 km). Also the villages Damwoude and Zwaagwesteinde are within biking or walking distance (2.7 km). It provides an excellent base for a day or mudflats for a day Ameland or Schiermonnikoog. Anglers can fish in the Falomstervaart area or visit the Trout Hole in Kollumerzwaag (5 km). You can visit various museums. The B & B also rents canoes for exploring the beautiful surroundings in a different way.
